HOMES Awards
Each year the HOMES Association recognizes those members who have made a significant
contribution to the association or the industry at large.
Karyn Estrella: Heart of the Industry Award The Karyn Estrella Heart of the Industry Award honors an individual who exemplifies unwavering dedication to the home medical equipment community through integrity, compassion, leadership, and service. Recipient of this award exemplifies resilience and optimism in their actions with customers, HOMES’ members, advocacy, leadership, and engagement. These traits were exemplified by Karyn Estrella during her years of HOMES’ leadership, as well as in her national advocacy for the entire industry in partnership with VGM and AAHomecare. This award is presented in memory of Karyn Estrella, who served as President & CEO of HOMES (formerly NEMED) from 1998 until her passing in 2019 after a brief but aggressive battle with pancreatic cancer. Karyn's passion for the HME industry and her tireless advocacy efforts were unparalleled. |

Outstanding Volunteer Award
The nominee is an individual person or company who has gone above and beyond in service to HOMES through exceptional volunteerism, leadership, and dedication to advancing the work of the association.

April Mason Home Care Advocacy Award
The April Mason Home Care Advocacy Award is presented annually to a legislator or advocate in recognition of their support of the homecare industry and efforts to ensure access to equipment services and technology for patients in their home.
